Copernicus ROSE-L | ESA
LOIS Engineering acted as consultant to develop the FPGA design for the Instrument Control Module (ICM) of the Copernicus ROSE-L Digital Backend Electronics (DBE). This implied defining the architectural and conceptual design and implementing a highly accurate timekeeping algorithm. The design satisfied all performance requirements.
MERLIN FRU | DLR
LOIS Engineering participated in the FPGA design & development of the Frequency Reference Unit. This is a complex design involving development of accurate temperate and current control loops and high speed data acquisition of a wavemeter. The FRU acted as target SpaceWire Interface (RMAP protocol) for the communication with the on-board computer.
LOIS Engineering was involved in the algorithm and parameter Interface definition, FPGA Design & Verification, EGSE Specification and finally in the AIT Validation.
EGSE Equipment
LOIS Engineering developed several EGSE test support equipments to assist testing of flight PCBs. E.g. Galileo LADU.
ICARUS Space Project | DLR
The members of LOIS Engineering were involved in this project since early design and definition phases. They were responsible for the selection of the target FPGA, the implemented interfaces and the split between the functions implemented in the FPGAs and the functions implemented in the Application Software (APSW).
